Story Tale of the Ramayana Ballet
The story starts in a royal contest where the strongest and smartest can win the hand of Princess Dewi Shinta. Prince Rama of Ayodhya wins her heart, but their happiness catches the eye of a powerful king, Rahwana, who desires Shinta for himself.
As Rama, Shinta, and Rama’s brother Laksmana explore the mysterious Dandaka Forest, Rahwana hatches a plan. He sends a magical golden deer to distract them. Shinta is charmed by the deer and asks Rama to catch it. This leads Rama away on a chase, leaving Shinta vulnerable.
Rahwana disguises himself as an old beggar. When Shinta steps out of a magical protective circle to help him, Rahwana grabs his chance, kidnapping her and flying away to his kingdom.
On their quest to rescue Shinta, Rama, and Laksmana face many challenges. They meet wounded allies and gather new friends, including the heroic white monkey, Hanuman, who vows to help them.
Hanoman sneaks into Rahwana’s kingdom, where he finds Shinta and promises to bring Rama to save her. To test the enemy’s strength, Hanoman causes a big stir in the garden, even getting captured and almost burned alive, but he escapes, setting the enemy’s palace on fire!
With a bridge built across the sea by an army of monkeys, Rama leads a fierce battle into Rahwana’s land. They face tough fights but eventually, Rama defeats Rahwana with a magic arrow.
After the battle, Rama and Shinta reunite, but Rama worries if Shinta is still true. To prove her purity, Shinta bravely walks through fire and comes out untouched, showing her love and loyalty.
Seeing Shinta’s bravery and purity, Rama joyfully welcomes her back. Their story ends with celebrations of their undying love and the victory of good over evil.
